The Prime Minister of Qatar has defended the nation’s $400 million present to President Donald Trump, saying that such exchanges between pleasant nations are “normal”.
Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani commented on the accusations that Qatar was gifting the jet to Trump just to get on the President’s good facet, saying that the present is just a donation to one other world chief.
At the Qatar Economic Forum on Tuesday, Al-Thani stated a “lot of controversy has been created” relating to “an exchange between two countries”.
He added that no business transactions relating to the present had been being achieved “under the table”.
“Our intention is to have a very clear exchange that the U.S. is in need for…To accelerate a temporary Air Force One,” he stated.
“Qatar has the ability to provide this, we stepped up.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated on Monday that the jet is just a “donation” to America.
She added that Qatar’s royal household “has supplied to donate this airplane to the United States Air Force, where that donation can be accepted according to all legal and moral obligations”.
President Trump sees no problem with his administration accepting the $400 million “present”, as it is “free of charge”.
“So the fact that the Defense Department is getting a GIFT, FREE OF CHARGE, of a 747 aircraft to replace the 40 year old Air Force One, temporarily, in a very public and transparent transaction,” he wrote on Truth Social.
He added that he would not care what the “crooked” Democrats have to say relating to the matter.
“So bothers the Crooked Democrats that they insist we pay, TOP DOLLAR, for the plane.”
“Anybody can do that!” he added.
