Question Time viewers erupt over bias row as they | UK News

Fans of Question Time branded the BBC show as “unwatchable” as they complained about “bias”. Host Fiona Bruce was back at the helm of the programme as she offered an hour of topical debate from Dorking.

On the panel have been Labour’s Emma Reynolds, Tory Julia Lopez, Liberal Democrat’s Munira Wilson, Reform’s Zia Yusuf and journalist Oli Dugmore. The main subject of dialogue appeared to be Lord Peter Mandelson resigning from Keir Starmer‘s Labour Party after particulars of his relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein have come to mild in the last week – including a snap in the Epstein Files displaying him in his lingerie. But as the panel and viewers mentioned what this means for the Labour Party and whether or not or not Prime Minister Keir Starmer ought to resign, followers at home thought that the show was considerably “biased.”

Posting to X/Twitter, one fan fumed: “This unwatchable these days hand pick lefties in the audience and no doubt paid lefties filling the hashtags all supporting the indefensible Liebour party #bbcqt”.”

Another echoed: “#bbcqt the far left panel attempting to flip the Epstein-Mandelson-Starmer affair on Reform?? What a stench of real desperation. It’s actually getting pathetic now!”

Someone else added: “#bbcqt Why the hell is leftie plant Bruce attempting to flip Starmer’s love affair with Epstein’s paedo lover Mandelson on Reform and the Tories? She needs to be sacked. A complete shame!”

One more asked: “#bbcqt Left plant Fiona Bruce at it again attempting to flip tables on Tories?? What the hell has Mandelson received to do with Tories? Question Time is a joke these days.”

However some fans did think that at least one person on the panel was talking sense and had a fair view. Viewers applauded Oli for his views on how Starmer views Mandelson.

He said: “Not only did the people at the top of the Labour party know about this [Mandelson staying at Epstein’s house while he was in prison]… they didn’t think this was disqualifying, they thought ‘actually, this is our guy’.”
