Hochman said: “I’m here to announce that our office will be filing charges against Nick Reiner accused of killing his parents. He also faces a special allegation that he personally used a dangerous and deadly weapon, that being a knife.

“These costs carry a most sentence of life in prison. No determination at this level has been made with the respect to the death penalty. Nick Reiner is being held without bail. I need to announce these are just costs. Charges will not be evidence. Evidence is one thing that can be presenting in a court of law.”

Nick appeared in court for the first time on Wednesday, dressed in a blue suicide vest. He uttered just three words, responding: “Yes, your honour,” when Judge Theresa McGonigle enquired if he grasped his proper to a speedy trial.

The decide also barred Reiner from being filmed during the proceedings before scheduling a contemporary date for January 7, when he could submit a plea.
