The good news is that, thanks to a veterinarian in (where else?) North Pole, Alaska, Santa’s reindeer have been checked out and are permitted for journey in worldwide airspace.

The sleigh is cleared for lift-off! Santa Claus’ reindeer have formally been cleared by Alaska’s top veterinarian for their annual journey to ship toys to all the great ladies and boys around the world.

Alaska State Vet Dr. Sarah Coburn put her stamp of approval on the 9 reindeer — led by Rudolph — that shall be guiding Santa’s sleigh around the globe on Wednesday.

The official Certificate of Veterinary Inspection report certifies that all of Santa’s reindeer are free of any infectious, contagious or communicable disease.

Rumor has it that Santa has been contemplating an improve, trading his conventional Scandinavian reindeer for Alaskan caribou, their bigger, stronger, sooner cousins.
