U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he instructed the Navy two construct two new battleships that shall be named after him Monday night.
The president boasted that the “cutting-edge” vessels, dubbed Trump-class ships, shall be the “largest” and “most lethal” in the world alongside Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Navy Secretary John Phelan.
Trump claimed the battleships shall be more than 100 occasions more highly effective than the current Iowa-class ships, which have been hailed during the World War II period, while explaining that the ships will help preserve “U.S. military supremacy.” He said contractors will immediately start building two ships , but he hopes to construct up to at least 10 and up to 25.
The announcement comes after the Pentagon requested weapons contractors to ramp up manufacturing charges as U.S. stockpiles dwindle amid major conflicts overseas, from Ukraine to Gaza, as U.S. advisories, including China, construct up and modernize their army.
It also comes after Trump issued a demand that the Afghanistan Taliban flip over the previous U.S. army base, Bagram, which is strategically positioned close to a nuclear weapons facility in China.
Trump went on to listing all of the army weapons and technology at the moment being constructed, while suggesting that there may be a sense of urgency to do so. He also said that he’s investing in upgrading the headquarters where army personnel reside.
Trump went on to handle the two-dozen-plus U.S. army strikes in the Caribbean Sea and jap Pacific, which have killed more than 100 people.
The president also continued to declare that he saved 1000’s of lives misplaced to drug overdoses by concentrating on the alleged drug-trafficking ships.
Secretary Hegseth also spoke and justified the strikes while he stays in sizzling water and faces a congressional investigation over an alleged call to launch a second strike on a ship that killed two people.
The announcement comes as the Trump administration continues ramping up army operations in the Latin-American area.
