Trump strikes on Iran delay Supreme Leaders | Political News
The burial of Iran’s former supreme chief was delayed for a number of hours following U.S. strikes on Thursday.
Crowds attending ceremonies in Iraq have disrupted the unique schedule, but the delay also comes after two bridges in Mashhad, the hometown and closing resting place of Ali Khamenei, have been hit by U.S. strikes. The assaults forced the closure of the rail line between the town and Tehran.
Fighting between the U.S. and Iran continued after Iran focused three tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. President Donald Trump declared the U.S.-Iran ceasefire to be over during the NATO summit in Turkey.
Meanwhile, U.S. Central Command said its forces had struck roughly 90 navy targets in the nation.
Iran retaliated by concentrating on the U.S. navy bases across the Middle East.
The battle continues
U.S. forces hit more than 90 targets in Iran, including air protection systems, coastal radar, and fast boats.
It comes after Iran attacked three oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, breaking the already flimsy ceasefire between the 2 international locations.
