Pat Sajak claims Vanna White has already | TV Shows
According to Pat Sajak, his co-host Vanna White has “already forgotten” about him.
It has been less than a year since the beloved host stepped down from his hosting duties at Wheel of Fortune, giving over the reins to Ryan Seacrest. Since then, his former co-host has updated her look on the show and gotten close with her new castmate, who already has a new nickname for her.
Now, Pat has returned for a brief stint on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and it seems like he is “battling” for her attention once again.
During the June 17 segment of the show, Pat started off the show with a quick quip for Vanna.
“In honor of my being here tonight, I have a joke for you,” he started. “Knock, knock.”
Previously speaking to TV Insider, she said, “When I heard that Pat was retiring, I thought maybe I should retire too.”
She later admitted she wasn’t “ready” to leave as she “still love my job.”
However, when Ryan first came on to the show, she thought “she may have made a mistake,” according to an insider that spoke to Closer Weekly. Vanna had a hard time transitioning to someone new by her side.
“It’s not that she doesn’t like Ryan, but her chemistry with Pat was just much more natural,” the source explained. “With Ryan, it feels forced and she doesn’t want that to come across to loyal viewers.”
Since then, Vanna and Ryan have warmed up to each other.
While starring on CBS Sunday Morning, she confessed: “I had no idea what to expect when I’m used to one person for so long. I was very scared – but he’s doing a great job!”
“I think our chemistry is good,” she added.
Although she’s formed a new friendship with Ryan, it hasn’t taken the place of the one she shares with Pat.
In April, she shared an update on their relationship, stating, “I still see him! We’re friends. Yeah, he’s still in my life.”
