It seems to be like zombies still generate huge bucks at the box workplace.

“28 Years Later,” the long-awaited threequel to Danny Boyle’s blockbusters “28 Days Later” and “28 Weeks Later,” loved a bloody good opening on Friday.

The movie generated $14 million in gross sales in its first day in theaters, touchdown in first place on the box workplace chart, according to The Numbers.

The movie is set in 2030, a long time after the second outbreak of the zombifying Rage Virus.

With practically $11 million in ticket gross sales on its eighth day of release, the live-action remake of “How to Train Your Dragon” adopted in the #2 slot.

Disney’s animated flick “Elio” lands at #3, with opening day box workplace receipts reported to be $9 million.
