The Venezuelan authorities issued a assertion on Sunday condemning what it claimed to be a army provocation by Trinidad and Tobago in coordination with the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Joint army workouts between the United States and Trinidad and Tobago are presently happening in the Caribbean, while Venezuela announced it had captured a group of mercenaries allegedly “with direct ties to the American intelligence agency” who had been reportedly planning to perform a false flag operation in the area.

Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez issued an official assertion on her Telegram channel.

Venezuela also emphatically said that it doesn’t settle for threats from any U.S. vassal authorities.

“We are not intimidated by military exercises or war cries. The Bolivarian National Armed Forces will remain alert and mobilized in perfect Popular-Military-Police unity in the face of this extremely serious provocation. Our Republic, heir to Bolívar and Chávez, will always defend its sovereignty, its territorial integrity, and its right to live in peace against foreign enemies and their vassals,” she said.

The assertion comes as a U.S. warship has docked in the capital of Trinidad and Tobago as Trump will increase army stress on Venezuela.

Trump has accused Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro of being the chief of an organised crime gang, but has not supplied any evidence.

President Maduro has called the deployment of warships an attempt by the U.S. authorities to “invent a new eternal war” against his nation.

Government officers in Trinidad and Tobago and from the US said the warship will stay in Trinidad until Thursday for training workouts.

Jenifer Neidhart de Ortiz, the U.S. Embassy’s charge d’affaires, said the workouts sought to “address shared threats like transnational crime and build resilience through training, humanitarian missions, and security efforts.”
