Flight Carrying Congressmen to D.C. Gets Diverted

The Democrat and leftist meltdowns aren’t just relegated to the political class. Seemingly average Americans suppose it’s completely acceptable to rant and scream on a crowded flight, despite their fellow passengers who just need to get to their vacation spot without incident. 

On Tuesday, one girl observed she was sharing her flight with 4 members of Congress, so she took this as the proper alternative to exercise her free speech rights.

Mmmkay.

A aircraft carrying 4 members of Congress to Washington, DC, to vote on ending the federal government shutdown was diverted due to a “disruptive passenger” who later declared to fellow flyers, “We live in a fascist state.”

Rep. Greg Stanton (D-Ariz.) posted on X on Tuesday that the American Airlines flight carrying him along with three Republicans from the Grand Canyon State — Reps. Eli Crane, Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar — was compelled to make an “emergency stop in Kansas City” after an unruly passenger brought on a disturbance following takeoff from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

The flight had been in the air for about 2 hours and 41 minutes when it was diverted to Kansas City International Airport, touchdown safely around 6:15 p.m., according to FlightConscious.

Another passenger on the flight, Adam Burtner, caught the cops escorting her out and her parting phrases.

About an hour after the aircraft was diverted, it took off again from Kansas City International, touching down at Reagan National Airport at 9:01 p.m. 

At the peak of the pandemic in 2021, when it appeared that the quantity of disruptive and unruly passengers was at its highest, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) adopted a zero-tolerance coverage for disruptive passengers. 

So, along with being arrested in a different metropolis than the one she supposed to land, Sister AWFL (Affluent White Female Liberal) may face more jail time, fines of up to $37,000, and restricted journey or being positioned on No-Fly lists.

American Airlines issued a assertion to the press regarding this incident:

On Nov. 11, American Airlines flight 1218, with service from Phoenix (PHX) to Washington, DC (DCA), diverted to Kansas City (MCI) due to a disruptive buyer. Law enforcement met the flight and eliminated the shopper, and the flight later re-departed for DCA, where it landed usually. We thank our clients for their persistence and our crew members for their professionalism.

It’s a good factor this occurred on Tuesday, as these congressman needed to be on the House flooring on Wednesday to solid their vote to reopen the federal government. While they had been merely inconvenienced, the other passengers could effectively have missed connections or important occasions or conferences, because this AWFL just could not include herself. And not just the passengers on that flight, but the cascade of flights and passengers that had been no doubt horribly disrupted because ONE aircraft had to be diverted thanks to one egocentric particular person.
