NFL star Kris Boyd is fighting for his life after being wounded in a capturing in Mahattan, New York, according to studies in the City. The cornerback is reported to have been shot in the stomach.
The New York Post report that the capturing befell at around 2am ET. The 29-year-old was rushed to Bellevue hospital in New York, where he’s said to be critically unwell.
While there was no official affirmation from the police over the sufferer, the report says that they’ve confirmed it’s Boyd. There have so far been no arrests as investigations continue.
The capturing is reported to have occurred after a dispute escalated, according to eyewitnesses. Boyd joined the New York Jets back in March, after joing them as a free agent.
He has beforehand represented Houston Texans and Arizonal Cardinals. He also represented Minnesota vikings in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The Jets had been in motion on Thursday evening as they took on New England Patriots. That therefore means that they don’t seem to be scheduled to play as ususal on Sunday.
