Yellowstone star Jefferson White has formally been forged in the upcoming Rambo prequel, John Rambo.

White, who performs Jimmy Hurdstrom in the hit Western drama, joins a forged that also contains Yao (Sinners), Jason Tobin (A Thousand Blows), Quincy Isaiah (Winning Time: The Rise Of The Lakers Dynasty), and Tayme Thapthimthong (The White Lotus).

Details about White and his co-stars’ roles stay under wraps. The prequel movie is described as a ardour project for Helander and is predicted to delve into Rambo’s experiences during the Vietnam struggle.

Production is at present going down across Bangkok, Krabi, Phang Nga, and Kanchanaburi in Thailand, studies the Express.

A gritty first-look poster exhibiting Rambo’s hand gripping a set of army canine tags has been unveiled.

In a assertion, Helander said, “When I was 11, I saw First visible injury for the first time, and it changed my life.

“Rambo wasn’t just a movie to me — it stayed with me growing up and was a defining affect on why I needed to develop into a filmmaker.

“As we begin production on the origin of John Rambo, we’re going back to the beginning.

“This is Rambo stripped down, uncooked, and real — a survival story about endurance, persistence, and misplaced innocence. It’s an honor to form this next chapter with deep respect for the character and the legacy, and to carry audiences the start of John Rambo’s journey.”

Erin Westerman, president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, added, “We’re thrilled to start manufacturing on John Rambo, which is able to enable both new audiences and current followers to explore John Rambo’s roots, his rules, and most importantly, some unbelievable motion, courtesy of Jalmari’s singular imaginative and prescient.

“And we’re so excited for Noah’s committed and powerful performance to show what forged this character into legend.”

The film’s main man Centineo is most acknowledged for his portrayal of Peter Kavinsky in Netflix’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before romantic comedy movie franchise alongside Lana Condor.

He also featured in the 2022 superhero film Black Adam starring Dwayne Johnson and is set to play Ken Masters in the forthcoming Street Fighter movie, arriving in theaters later this 12 months.

John Rambo has not yet obtained a release date. Yellowstone is out there to stream on Paramount+.
