Bryson DeChambeau’s LIV Golf contract concludes at the end of the 2026 season, and the two-time U.S. Open winner has offered minimal insight into whether or not he intends to keep.

The Saudi-funded circuit initially established the league and took pleasure in its 54-hole construction. The transfer to 72-holes occurred earlier this offseason as they pursue inclusion in the Official World Golf Rankings, which stays pending approval forward of the 2026 season.

DeChambeau noticed this differs from what he agreed to when he signed the $125 million deal in 2022.

“It’s definitely changed away from what we had initially been told it was going to be,” DeChambeau said, via TheIn the present day’sGolfer. “So there is some movement that we’ve all been, I would say, interested in, and going, ‘why that movement?’ Because we were told it was going to be this. So that’s definitely made us have some different thoughts about it….

“I’ve acquired a contract for this 12 months, and we’ll go through it there and see what occurs after that. Look, it is 72 holes, it is modified, but we’re still excited to play professionally and play for what we’re doing and go across the world. I believe it is going to be great for our crew. Is it what we finally signed up for? No. So I believe we’re supposed to be different, so I’m a little detached to it proper now..

“Hopefully it weighs positively on me over the course of time, but you never know. I’m not sure. We didn’t sign up to play for 72.”

LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil assumed his place at the start of 2022, changing Greg Norman who helped launch the Saudi-backed sequence as the Saudi-funded circuit revealed their format modification in November 2025.
