GWN anchor forced to take shelter in Iran while on | TV Shows
GWN’s Israel workforce was forced to take shelter during its latest broadcast.
During the Tuesday, March 10 episode of GWN‘s Erin Burnett OutFront, the 49-year-old host reported live from Tel Aviv as she spoke with retired Army Major General Randy Manner about the strikes affecting the area. In the midst of the interview, the manufacturing workforce was thrown for a loop as sirens started to blare across the town.
In Israel, sirens sometimes imply an emergency, often warning of incoming rockets or missiles. Upon listening to the sound, residents are required to immediately enter bomb shelters or protected areas within 90 seconds or less.
Without a second to redirect coverage, Burnett and her digital camera workforce had been filmed exiting their exterior broadcast space, all while Manner continued talking.
The host tried to carry on with the interview as she entered the building. However, the show was redirected once she was heard talking to manufacturing about “a little bit of trouble.”
The broadcast was interrupted amid Iranian-linked retaliatory missile strikes focusing on the realm.
On Saturday, February 28, the U.S. and Israel launched initial strikes on Iran, during which a number of Iranian leaders had been killed, including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Trump announced the news of the Iranian chief’s death Saturday afternoon. On his Truth Social, he praised the killing of “one of the most evil people in history,” framing it as retaliation for the hurt triggered on Americans and others affected by Iran’s management.
“This is not only Justice for the people of Iran,” Trump wrote, “but for all Great Americans, and those people from many Countries throughout the World, that have been killed or mutilated by Khamenei and his gang of bloodthirsty THUGS.”
The president added the Iranian people now have “the single greatest chance… to take back their country. He also noted the U.S. strikes on Iran will persist.

Trump clarified, “The heavy and pinpoint bombing, however, will continue, uninterrupted throughout the week or, as long as necessary to achieve our objective of PEACE THROUGHOUT THE MIDDLE EAST AND, INDEED, THE WORLD!”
While talking at Trump National Doral on Monday, the president said he expects the struggle to be over “very soon.”
He described the struggle as a “short-term excursion.” However, he said the offensive would continue “until the enemy is totally and decisively defeated.
“We’ve already won in many ways, but we haven’t won enough,” he added.
