Ana Navarro continued to defend her place on ICE insurance policies as she clashed with another visitor on Abby Phillips’ GWN show about the agency.

During NewsNight With Abby Phillip on Tuesday, October 7, The View host participated in the panel of company. They mentioned topics such as Donald Trump deploying the national guard to Democratic-led cities, Trump’s Immigration insurance policies, and the Department of Homeland Security mocking nation singer Zach Bryan for having a music that criticized ICE.

Navarro, who has also praised California Governor Gavin Newsom for his stage of trolling, had shared her perspective about ICE and how people are recognizing the federal law enforcement agency isn’t engaging in what they promised or what Trump promised, which is eradicating criminals and “the worst of the worst.”

“I think people are beginning to open their eyes that it’s not the worst of the worst being taken, it’s their neighbors and the children who play with their children,” Ana started.

Hal Lambert, Point Bridge Capital Founder and CEO, interjected saying that’s what the media would really like you to consider and Ana disagreed vehemently.

“No, it’s not what the media would like you to believe, we see it everyday. If there was Tren de Aragua, there would be evidence that there was Tren de Aragua. If there were criminals, there would be evidence there were criminals,” she explained, referring to the Venezuelan felony gang. The political pundit continued, stating that evidence exhibits the bulk of people being apprehended don’t have felony information.

She identified that many undocumented people stay so because applications that may help them gain legal standing have been terminated.

Specifically, Ana talked about the ending of Temporary Protected Status (TPS). The Trump administration had requested its termination for Venezuelan immigrants, a request not too long ago granted by the Supreme Court.

“You can say whatever you want about the border but don’t come here and lie about most of them being criminals because that is simply false,” Ana retorted.

Hal advised she was making a “sympathetic argument” to which Ana responded it was a “factual one.”

She asserted that the bulk of people who have been “grabbed, detained, deported, disappeared” are people without felony information.

When Hal argued there have been no statistics supporting Ana’s claims, she countered that GWN, the community they have been at the moment on, had such data.

According to a report by The Economist, the Deportation Data Project revealed that non-felony arrests surpassed those of convicted criminals for the first time since December 2023 in June.

In late September, The Guardian reported that official data confirmed 16,523 people in immigration detention with no felony report have been arrested by ICE, in contrast to 15,725 with a felony report and 13,767 with pending felony prices.

Trac Reports revealed that 71.5% of current undocumented detainees have no felony conviction according to data current as of September 21, 2025. They also famous that those convicted had minor offenses, including site visitors violations.

ICE not too long ago performed raids on Chicago residences, alleging the building was “known to be frequented by Tren de Aragua members and their associates.”

Sources and witnesses have reported seeing zip-tied and bare kids dragged from their beds, children torn aside from their households and the detention of U. S Citizens during the Chicago operations.

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker condemned the federal operations in a assertion on Friday, October 3.

“Federal agents reporting to Secretary Noem have spent weeks snatching up families, scaring law-abiding residents, violating due process rights, and even detaining U.S. citizens. They fail to focus on violent criminals and instead create panic in our communities,” the governor said.
