The curtain is about to fall on ITV’s globally adored period drama. The third and last movie, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, might be gracing cinemas this month, a full fifteen years after the original sequence first aired. Over the course of six seasons and two movies, audiences have adopted the aristocratic Crawley household and their home employees through scandals, heartbreaks and important historic occasions, including the sinking of the Titanic and the First World War.
