Golden Bachelorette’s Pascal finally confronts | TV Shows
The salon owner added that he hoped he “didn’t hurt” Joan.
“That was not my intention,” Pascal said. “And she’s a very wonderful woman and you know, now I’m watching and I see her saying she’s not worthy of love — she’s totally wrong. I think she is worthy of love, I just wasn’t able to give her what she was looking for at the time. I was too guarded.”
Pascal felt that his time with Joan helped him realized “where I’m at now.”
He added: “I’m ready to bring down my walls,” he said.
When Joan came out to the stage, Pascal told her: “You are an incredible woman and I hope that by me leaving, you were able to find the right person for yourself.”
The mom of four confessed that she did see a future with Pascal.
She said: “I pictured a life with you and I know that that Tahitian bonding ceremony was very uncomfortable for you, and I thought maybe in Fantasy suites we could’ve figured out something in either direction, but you had already made up your mind. You were very kind and I just want the best for you. I want you to be happy.”

Joan proceeded to tell the rest of her exes that she wanted to “have a friendship” with all of them.
Pascal recently broke his silence on how producers allegedly meddled in his emotional breakup with Joan during their Fantasy Suite date in Tahiti.
The romantic outing began with a bonding ceremony, but instead of it inspiring love, it scared Pascal and he soon realized he wasn’t in love with Joan.
As dinner began, Pascal explained he “wasn’t ready” for an engagement, telling Joan: “I was very much in love with someone last year…and then my daughter signed me up for The Golden Bachelorette.”
“Today, I got scared,” he shared with Joan. “I’m having a very difficult time…I just don’t think I can get to the place where you want me to be.”
“I know what love is…we’ve both experienced it…but I’m just not in love,” he said before Joan told him that she didn’t want a broken heart, and that he should leave if he’s “never gonna be ready.”
Struggling after a tough breakup the year prior, he decided to self-eliminate from the show, telling Joan he couldn’t continue their journey.
Now, Pascal shared that producers pressured him to be more blunt with Joan about his feelings, saying they suggested he clarify his lack of love for her.
“I said it in a very nice and polite way. I told her, ‘Look, Joan, I’m not where I need to be for you. It’s hard for me to continue that journey and go any farther with you,’” Pascal said.
He revealed that despite his own reservations, Bachelor producers pushed him to say he wasn’t in love.
Pascal expressed regret over how the situation was handled, especially after seeing Joan’s reaction on-screen.
“When I saw the show, I saw she was hurt by that because she said [to the cameras], ‘I’m maybe not worthy to be loved.’ That was not my intention,” he explained, adding, “I’m sorry if I misled her or misinterpreted myself.”
Frustrated by the pressure, Pascal requested the cameras turn off during his breakup with Joan.
“That’s why I told the camera to get away from me. I was very angry,” he recalled.
