Inspired by Erika Kirk, Tim Allen Makes Powerful | Political News
It has been a little over two weeks since the assassination of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk.
In the aftermath of his death, people have vowed to carry on his message. His memorial was a highly effective event, with President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance in attendance.
There was a big second when Trump and Elon Musk reunited and shook palms. They appeared to have buried the hatchet after a tense falling out some months in the past, with Trump welcoming Musk back. Both Musk and the White House posted a image of their reunion with the caption: “For Charlie.”
Perhaps the most affecting second was when his spouse, Erika Kirk, spoke about the alleged murderer, saying how Charlie needed to save younger males like him.

Then, she forgave him.

That touched a lot of people, including former “Home Improvement” star Tim Allen, who is now on “Shifting Gears.” Allen said it moved him to do one thing that he hasn’t been ready to do for over 60 years.

When Erika Kirk spoke the words on the man who killed her husband: “That man… that young man… I forgive him.” That second deeply affected me. I’ve struggled for over 60 years to forgive the person who killed my Dad. I’ll say those phrases now as I kind: “ I forgive the man who killed my father.” Peace be with you all.
Allen’s father was killed in a car accident by a drunk driver when Allen was 11 years previous.
Allen said in a 2012 interview that “part of him still doesn’t trust that everything will work out all right” because of what occurred to his father.
What an important second for Allen to finally have the ability to make that change, to discover that peace for which he is been struggling.
Allen was touched by Erika Kirk’s actions. Then, more have been impressed by Allen’s post on X, with many talking of their efforts to forgive others for what they could have carried out that harmed their lives. His post has now had hundreds of thousands of views.
