Jalen Carters NFL punishment revealed after…

The NFL has doled out its punishment for Jalen Carter after he spit on Dak Prescott during last Thursday’s season opener.

Carter was fined $57,222 for the incident and suspended one sport, which the league feels has already been served.

In a press release on Tuesday, the league said that “because Carter was disqualified before participating in a single play, the suspension was considered to have been served in Week 1.”

With the suspension out of the best way, Carter is predicted to take the sphere for the Eagles during their Week 2 Super Bowl rematch against the Chiefs.

“After talking to the Eagles, the NFL and the NFLPA, Jalen has decided not to appeal and focus on the Chiefs game,” said Carter’s agent Drew Rosenhaus, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Just six seconds into the Eagles’ 24-20 win over the Cowboys, Carter obtained an unsportsmanlike penalty and was ejected before taking part in a single snap

Right after the opening kickoff, Carter exchanged phrases with Prescott and proceeded to stroll up to him and spit on Dallas QB’s chest.

After the sport, Carter said the incident “was a mistake that happened on my side. It won’t happen again.”

“I feel bad for just my teammates and fans out there,” Carter continued. “I’m doing it for them. I’m doing it for my family, also. But the fans – they showed the most love.”

Carter reportedly thought Prescott, who was in a huddle with his offensive line, spit in his direction first

“You spit at me?” Carter said to Prescott, who responded, “Why would I spit at you?”

Prescott denied any in poor health intent after the sport.

“I actually said words like, ‘Why the hell would I’ — excuse me, but probably even more colorful — ‘What would I need to spit on you for?’ He just spit on me in that moment, it was more of a surprise than anything,” Prescott said. “The refs obviously saw it. Threw the flag. I was like, `Hell yeah! We get 15 yards to start the game off.′ Didn’t realize he was getting ejected. Unfortunate that he did. Hell of a player.”
