Vladimir Putin’s ally said on Russian tv that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which has been going on for more than three years, “would not last more than an hour” if the U.S. decides to intervene.

“The goal [of the West] remains the same. And that goal is to wage war against Russia”, he said, including that there are plans to deploy a Western military to the Russian border within 4-5 days.”

There’s no news of the Western Army being deployed along the Russian border. 

“A conflict, if it includes the United States – without the United States’ involvement, it makes no sense at all- wouldn’t last more than an hour. It can be a thermonuclear conflict. And whosoever survives wins”, he said.

The war-mongering comments come as the Financial Times reported a hasty US-Russia deal is being pushed to end the more than 3-year-old war in Ukraine.

The report also said that Europe is rushing to coordinate a response to the US-Russian peace plan, which offers major concessions to Russia.

According to the report, the 28-point peace plan drafted by aides to President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin calls for “Kyiv to cede swaths of land presently under its control.”

People concerned in the rushed diplomatic talks told the publication that both the plan and U.S. strain on Ukraine to agree have blindsided European leaders and their national security groups.

It additional added that to push the plan, the U.S. embassy in Kyiv has called upon European envoys for a briefing on the plan on Friday afternoon with U.S. Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll, who met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday.
