Ransom Canyon star on how it feels to have scenes | TV Shows

Ransom Canyon has proved to be a huge hit on Netflix, but fans will be surprised to learn there are some scenes missing from the show.

The new Netflix series has been described as Virgin River meets Yellowstone and fans have been binge watching all of the episodes. Ransom Canyon revolves around three ranching families vying for control over their land and sees Staten Kirkland (played by Josh Duhamel) at the heart of the drama as he tries to overcome a devastating loss.

While the story has been a huge success, Andrew Liner, who plays Reid Collins in the show, has admitted some scenes failed to make the final cut.

Speaking exclusively to The Express US about what it was like behind-the-scenes, he explained, “It was a lot of fun filming.”

Andrew said he grew very close to his co-stars Lizzy Greene, Niko Guardado, Garrett Wareing and Jennifer Ens. “It kind of became like a sort of familiarity that we then got to bring to set, which was a lot of fun,” he added.

Andrew described the axed scenes as “really funny” before adding, “I got to dive a little bit more into my character and into how absurd he can be at times.”

He continued, “And I think what was fun about it was that I don’t think Reed is like me very much. I think he’s a part of me, but I don’t think he’s exactly like me. And it was fun to explore that other part.”

While some scenes didn’t make it into the final program, fans are still loving the show and have been begging for a second season.

“When are you going to renew Ransom Canyon? Please do it soon season one just wet my appetite!” one fan urged Netflix. Another commented, “Also, ransom canyon is prettyyy good guys.”

A third fan said, “The fact that ransom canyon hasn’t been renewed yet is so sad… this show really deserved a 2nd season.”
