Sergio Garcia, the all-time chief in Ryder Cup factors, pulled out of the Irish Open following Luke Donald’s resolution to exclude him from the 2025 Ryder Cup group. However, he has since been noticed with a model new membership in his bag.

Garcia was seen wielding the latest carbon putter from Golfyr, a model he also used in 2024. Golfyr is thought for its “optimized golf experience using only seven essential SWISS MADE carbon clubs on the course.” It comes after Donald Trump interrupted his own announcement for Keegan Bradley.

According to Golfyr, their new putter, the Maker Tour, has undergone a full overhaul. While Garcia wasn’t entirely surprised by his omission from this year’s Ryder Cup team, the call from Luke Donald was still a tough one. “The call with Luke was high-quality but not the call I needed, clearly,” Garcia confessed to GolfMagic last month.

He added: “Now, the only factor I can do is assist the group from home. It’s as simple as that. I’ll be watching and cheering on the European group.”

Earlier this year, Garcia clinched a victory at the LIV Golf Hong Kong Event. He shot a final-round 63, securing a three-shot triumph over Dean Burmester.

“I felt like I used to be so wanting ahead to being a half of that group,” he expressed.

Garcia chose to withdraw from the Irish Open after being excluded from Bethpage Black.

“And so I felt like mentally, you recognize, mentally it was form of tough. I did not need to go there and not be totally engaged in the match and stuff, so I just determined to take a little bit of time off and spend it with the household and do a couple of issues, some issues outdoors of golf and just form of reboot a little bit, recharge the batteries.”

This yr, Garcia secured ninth place in the LIV Golf standings and is set to take part in the inaugural LIV match in Saudi Arabia on Feb. 5. He clinched third place in the LIV Golf standings last yr.

Garcia is also gearing up for his second DP World Tour start of the season in Madrid, following his participation in July’s BMW International Open, where he failed to make the cut.
