During the December 9 episode of The View, the panel was discussing the eye surrounding alleged killer Luigi Mangione, which incorporates his 1000’s of fangirls across the globe who have shown help for the suspected perpetrator.

Goldberg chimed back in, agreeing with Haines’ level, “Let’s not forget. If you don’t like the system, take action to change it. Taking somebody’s life isn’t gonna help because now there is another CEO in place.”

Then, she slammed the accused killer, 26, and his followers, saying, “The moment you pick up the weapon, you’re the problem.”

Mangione is accused of killing Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealthcare, in New York City on December 4, 2024.

Thompson was shot and killed in the early morning exterior the New York Hilton Midtown.

Following a nationwide manhunt, Mangione was arrested 5 days after the taking pictures in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

He was indicted on eleven state expenses and 4 federal expenses, including first-degree homicide in furtherance of terrorism, felony possession of a weapon, and stalking. Federal prosecutors are at present looking for the death penalty in Mangione’s federal case.[9

A New York judge dismissed Mangione’s terror-related murder charges in September of 2025, but he still faces a second-degree murder charge.
