Netflix has just revealed plans for an adaptation of a thriller penned by famend writer S.A. Cosby, a lot to the delight of suspense fanatics.

The adaptation is being led by Joe Robert Cole and will function Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, recognized for his roles in Gangs of London and Black Rabbit, as the main character.

Set against the backdrop of the American South, the upcoming nine-episode sequence revolves around Titus Crown, a small-town sheriff, who is on a mission to halt a assassin satisfied they’re finishing up a divine job.

The show is based on the 2023 novel All the Sinners Bleed and will bear the same title.

According to Tudum’s synopsis: “Haunted by his devout mother’s untimely death, the first Black sheriff in a small Bible Belt county must lead the hunt for a serial killer who has quietly been preying on his Black community for years in the name of God.”

John Douglas Thompson, acknowledged for his performances in The Gilded Age and Mare of Easttown, has also been forged in the position of Albert Crown, the daddy of Titus.

Thompson expressed his pleasure about the project to Tudum, stating: “I was attracted to All the Sinners Bleed for its undeniable singularity. There is a depth and authenticity to this story that I am excited to explore and bring to life.”

NPR experiences that Cosby is “one of the best-known names in the new, wonderfully diverse wave of crime fiction writers”.
