Revolutionary cancer vaccine could completely stop spread of disease -……


A revolutionary new examine could lead to the development of a ‘next-generation’ cancer vaccine that not only eradicates current tumors but also completely prevents the disease from spreading in some cases. The University of Massachusetts Amherst scientists revealed their findings in the journal Cell Reports Medicine.

They are hopeful that their findings can be used to develop both therapeutic and preventative programs for individuals at a higher risk of cancer.

Griffin Kane, a postdoctoral research associate at UMass Amherst and the paper’s first author, stated: “The real core technology that our company has been based on is this nanoparticle and this treatment strategy.”

Now, Atukorale and Kane are already focusing on increasing this technology to create a therapeutic vaccine.
