Brittany Cartwright gives fans divorce update – TV | TV Shows

The Valley star Brittany Cartwright is hopeful that her contentious and drawn-out divorce from Jax Taylor will soon be over, as she shared a optimistic update with fans while attending Bravocon 2025.

Cartwright, 36, shared the latest news relating to her break up from Taylor, 46, while showing on a panel for her Vanderpump Rules spinoff show, where she was joined by other solid members to focus on the upcoming new episodes.

The couple was one of many movie star duos to call it quits in 2024, but according to Cartwright, Taylor has been “holding things up,” and she is “praying” the divorce can be finalized by December, including that she has tried for 10 years, hoping he would change, but was left disheartened when that never occurred.

The two separated in February of that 12 months, with Cartwright formally submitting for divorce in August after 5 years of marriage.

Taylor was seemingly in denial about their break up initially, and even refused to transfer out of their home, one thing Cartwright has said she is going to “never forgive” him for.

“It’s taken me many, many years to get to this point where I’ve gained enough courage to strength to do what was best for me, get myself out of a toxic relationship and ultimately see my worth,” she said at the time.

She went on to add, “It’s been very difficult, but I’m stronger than ever and my motivation is my son, my cruisey, who deserves a happy and healthy mommy.”

While sharing the divorce update at Bravocon, Cartwright also said that the latest season of the show, which beforehand documented the struggles close to the end of her marriage to Taylor, would have a different tone.

Addressing Taylor’s exit, Cartwright said it will be “lighter” and “a lot more fun.”

“It was great to not be harassed all season long,” she added.

“It was nice to have a break and just be able to focus on my and my son. It was a great experience.”
