Laura’s commentary on inflation comes after the host of The Ingraham Angle made a shock Donald Trump U-turn on the Iran battle.
During Wednesday’s broadcast of The Ingraham Angle on Fox News, Laura and Sen. Sheehy mentioned Trump’s ongoing strikes against Iran after a US helicopter was downed close to the Strait of Hormuz.
The battle led to the closure of the Strait, through which 20% of the world’s oil flows, impacting oil and fuel costs and other family commodities, which, according to the Consumer Price Index, have elevated 4.2% in the last 12 months. “I talk to a lot of people, people are sick of this,” Laura said relating to the Iran battle.
She added, “People who are like, just finish it. We should’ve finished it earlier. I mean, it is what it is. We are where we are, but those inflation numbers that came in today at 4.2%, the CPI. And there are some nuances with those numbers, but nevertheless, people are feeling this.”
She went on to warn, “And to minimize that is unwise for a Republican to do. People are hurting. They see a light at the end of the tunnel, a lot of folks, but they want these energy prices to come down.”
“Are they looking at that?” the Fox News pundit requested Sheehy, following up by inquiring whether or not he believes Iranian leaders are factoring in the dire financial blow that Americans have confronted amid the battle.

“Of course they are,” the 40-year-old lawmaker replied, before taking a web page from Trump’s playbook and blaming the earlier administration despite the staggering year-over-year increase in inflation.
He added, “We don’t in any way dismiss the inflation numbers. The gas prices we see today, the inflation we see today, those were the gas prices and inflation under Biden. That was the norm. This is a temporary bump that is the result of us trying to solve a half-century threat that will continue to threaten Americans for generations to come if we don’t solve it.”
Laura’s skepticism comes just someday after she expressed issues about the continuing battle in Iran during her show, questioning how Iranian forces have been ready to take down a US asset amid Trump’s repeated claims that their army had been “decimated” by US strikes.
Trump, who promised he wouldn’t enter into any new wars during his presidential marketing campaign, has launched a number of strikes against the nation’s army as the battle in Iran surpassed the 100-day mark.
