Amazon Announces Update Following Massive Outage

Amazon announced late on Monday that connectivity points that affected quite a few platforms that use its Amazon Web Service, or AWS, have been resolved after inflicting utter chaos for the bulk of the day.

Oct 20 3:53 PM PDT Between 11:49 PM PDT on October 19 and 2:24 AM PDT on October 20, we skilled elevated error charges and latencies for AWS Services in the US-EAST-1 Region. At 12:26 AM on October 20, we recognized the set off of the event as DNS decision points for the regional DynamoDB service endpoints. CEO of web efficiency monitoring firm Catchpoint, Mehdi Daoudi, told GWN that the affect of the large service disruption will price in the “hundreds of billions.” 

GWN reported:
