Bryson DeChambeau, prepped to defend his U.S. Open championship, is in talks to renew his ties with LIV Golf. DeChambeau shook the golf world final June by accepting a cool $125 million to be part of LIV Golf, locking him into an unique four-and-a-half-year stint with the collection until the top of the 2026 season.

Now 31, DeChambeau, identified for customizing his gear, has catapulted to fame as one of LIV Golf’s marquee gamers. Despite whispers about a potential return to the PGA Tour once contracts wrap up, the present U.S. Open titleholder and YouTube sensation hinted at a continued alliance.

“Next year is when it ends,” mentioned DeChambeau to the press gathered at Oakmont. “We’re looking to negotiate end of this year and I’m very excited. They see the value in me, I see the value in what they can provide and I believe we’ll come to some sort of resolution on that.

“I’m tremendous excited for the future. LIV’s not going wherever. H.E. (LIV chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan) has been steadfast in his perception on workforce golf and wherever all people believes it or not, I consider it is a viable option.

“Our team has been EBIDTA positive for the past two years, so we’re starting to grow and move in the right direction, just like TGL. TGL has done a great job. They’ve got some teams that are making some money, and I believe there is a sustainable model out there. How it all works with the game of golf, who knows, but I know my worth.

“I do know what LIV brings to the desk. And I’m excited for the future of what golf goes to be.”

Since its contentious inception in 2022, LIV Golf has lured major players such as Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, and DeChambeau with contracts surpassing $100 million. These lucrative deals are nearing their end.

Golfweek reports that the staggering financial incentives offered initially by LIV Golf may not be replicated. Observers are keen to see if finances were the pivotal factor for players switching from the PGA Tour to LIV Golf.

DeChambeau’s season with LIV Golf has seen its highs and lows. He secured a T6 at the first event in Riyadh but then hit a slump with T18 in Adelaide and T20 in Hong Kong.
