A Former GOP senator shared on Tuesday that he had been identified with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and is “gonna die.”

Ben Sasse, who served as the Senator for Nebraska from 2015 to 2023, shared the tragic news in a prolonged X assertion. “Last week I used to be identified with metastasized, stage-four pancreatic cancer, and am gonna die,” the 53-year-old said bluntly.

“Death is a wicked thief, and the bastard pursues us all,” he added. “Still, I’ve acquired less time than I’d favor. This is difficult for somebody wired to work and construct, but (*4*)more durable still as a husband and a dad.”

Sasse served two phrases in the Senate. Weeks after being re-elected in 2020, he was one of seven Republicans who voted to convict Donald Trump on inciting an rebel in his second impeachment trial after the Jan 6, 2021, riots.
