President Donald Trump has reportedly doubled down on his Harvard assault and is now demanding that the Ivy League faculty pay a $1 billion settlement to restore federal funding, after months of failed negotiations with the administration.

In a strongly worded Truth Social post on Monday, the president slammed the distinguished college, claiming they’ve been “feeding nonsense” to the New York Times and “behaving very badly.” He wrote, “Strongly Antisemitic Harvard University has been feeding a lot of ‘nonsense’ to The Failing New York Times. Harvard has been, for a long time, behaving very badly.”

“They wanted to do a convoluted job training concept, but it was turned down in that it was wholly inadequate and would not have been, in our opinion, successful,” added Trump. “It was merely a way of Harvard getting out of a large cash settlement of more than 500 Million Dollars, a number that should be much higher for the serious and heinous illegalities that they have committed.”

According to the president, “this should be a criminal, not a civil event and Harvard will have to live with the consequences of their wrongdoings.” President Trump then slammed the college’s current president, Dr. Alan Garber, saying he has achieved “a terrible job of rectifying a very bad situation for his institution and, more importantly, America, itself.”

“He was hired AFTER the antisemitism charges were brought – I wonder why???” Trump added. “We are now seeking One Billion Dollars in damages, and want nothing further to do, into the future, with Harvard University.”

“As The Failing New York Times clearly stated, ‘Some connected to the University, however, think Harvard has no option but to eventually cut a deal. The Administration has repeatedly attempted to cut off research grants, which would be an untenable crisis. Like many major research universities, Harvard relies on federal funding for its financial model,'” Trump completed. “Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

The post comes after The New York Times reported, citing a number of unnamed sources, that the White House had dropped the demands for a financial fee. Over the past a number of months, the Trump administration has been calling on Harvard to pay a whopping $500 million settlement.

In the past, college officers have refused any sort of offers, including a money fee. The Harvard Crimson reported that the varsity was negotiating a workforce development settlement value up to $500 million.

A Department of Education spokesperson reportedly told GWN that “negotiations with Harvard are ongoing.” They said, “The Administration’s goal with Harvard, as with all its work on higher education, is to ensure campuses properly enforce civil rights laws, students are learning in an environment free from harassment and intimidation, and campuses once again prioritize truth-seeking and merit,” said Madi Biedermann, the Department of Education’s appearing chief of employees.

In September, it was reported that a federal decide had ordered President Trump to restore more than $2 billion in federal research funding that had been frozen by the White House. It has been reported that since the varsity’s big win, the president and his employees have been wanting for a new method to exert their affect in the hallowed halls.

While Harvard has not bowed to the president and his administration, a number of other universities have taken a less confrontational method and acquiesced to the demands of Trump and his administration. In July, it was reported that Columbia University agreed to pay the U.S. Treasury $200 million in a settlement.

Days later, Brown University reached a deal to pay Rhode Island workforce development organizations $50 million in grants over a decade. Cornell also agreed to pay $30 million to the Trump administration $30 million for the next three years.
