Wheel of Fortune fans relieved as player wins big | TV Shows


Wheel of Fortune fans are screaming out, “Finally!” after a contestant received a huge $74k after the “disaster” that was last week.

During the Friday, December 26, episode of the hit ABC recreation show, a contestant named Andrew had viewers on the sting of their seats, as they anticipated another disappointing fail, related to the one in the Christmas Day episode. 

However, he was fortunate enough to carry some festive cheer back to Wheel of Fortune by profitable on the Bonus Round, reeling in a whole winnings of $74,750, including money and a luxurious Las Vegas trip, which also included a Backstreet Boys live performance. 

Andrew appeared not to even wrestle throughout the episode, incomes a good head start after profitable $1,000 during the Toss-up. He solved the “Travel the world” puzzle to win that spherical.

During the Prize Puzzle Round (Song Lyrics), Andrew solved “That makes you larger than life” from Backstreet Boys, profitable $13,750 and a journey to Vegas to see the boy band at the Sphere. 

His whole at that level was $24,750 in money and prizes. The phrase of the evening was “totes,” and he simply superior to the Bonus Round.

His fiancée, Roman, and mom, Rhonda, waited on the sidelines, supporting him. “He was the class president, the prom king, student council rep, the principal, and now the winner tonight. So far $24,750, Andrew,” host Ryan Seacrest praised Andrew’s achievements before turning his consideration to his household off to the facet.

“Get some big money out there. We want you to get $100,000. Maybe the car over here. What’d you think?” Seacrest continued after Andrew’s household was launched. The player then selected the “Food and Drink” class.

After the usual R, S, T, L, N, E letters are revealed, Andrew selected F, H, G, and O for his extra letters.

The letter board then revealed an simple puzzle to remedy with G, O, O, E, _, F,_, _ G, E. As the timer counted down 10 seconds, Andrew efficiently solved the puzzle by guessing “Gooey Fudge.”

Winning the Bonus Round secured him an extra $50,000, bringing his episode whole to $74,750.

“You picked all the right letters. Ah! Andrew, talk about a year-end bonus,” Seacrest said after he revealed that the player had received.

Viewers at home have been just as glad to see Andrew win, particularly after the disappointing Christmas Day episode.

Wheel of Fortune posted a clip of Andrew’s win on their YouTube account and keen fans flocked to the feedback part to reward the player for his success. 

One particular person wrote, “After yesterday’s disaster, this is a fantastic way to end the week. Great job, Andrew! Enjoy your $50,000!”

“I’m still not over the ‘footbridge shock’ from Christmas Day, but Andrew’s choice of F and H in the letter was a big deal. It’s been a while since I’ve won $50,000. Congratulations, Andrew!” another penned.

“A good bounce back from 2 heartbreaking bonus round losses this week, worth 100.000 both times, but getting 50.000 and a win isn’t too shabby either,” a third added.

“Andrew, talk about a year-end bonus! I mean! Super bonus! You just won $50,000, congratulations!” a fourth praised. 

Others expressed their aid over Andrew’s win, with another person chiming in, “GREAT Way to wrap up the final Friday of 2025.”

Another added, “Best show of the week!!! It shed some light after 2 $100K losses. Also, what a happy ending to the final full week of the year!!!”

Another voiced, “Finally,” as yet another commented, “The curse is over. Way to go Andrew!!!!”
